Romana King is the woman behind RKHomeowner and Senior Editor at Money.ca. Her first book, House Poor No More: 9 Steps That Grow the Value of Your Home and Net Worth was published in November 2021 and continues to be an Amazon bestseller. Since publication, the book garnered five awards, including the New York CPA Society's Excellence in Financial Journalism Book Award in 2022.

Romana began her financial journalism career at Roger's Publishing trade magazines, after obtaining a Political Science degree from the University of Toronto, and a post-grad Journalism degree from Centennial College.

Over the years, she has worked or freelanced for The Toronto Star, The Globe and Mail, CBC.ca, Financial Post, Toronto Sun, Macleans, Canadian Business Magazine and MoneySense. In prior roles, she was a regular guest on Breakfast Television, CTVNews.ca, Global News and Realtor.ca — talking about real estate, investing and personal finance issues.
